It might mean the next civil rights struggle. It might mean a war for the survival of the human race.
Either way, robots are on the move. They’re on the battlefield, they’re in our homes. Japan is rapidly developing caretaker bots for their aging population. And at this very moment, there is even a robot on Mars finding water and looking for martian life!
But is it only a matter of time until the great robot uprising? Must we fear our metal creations? “Robophobia!” cries the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Robots. The ASPCR looks forward to the day when man and machine-man can live in harmony, as equals.
Only time will tell. Right now, we can only imagine: (VIDEO) The Onion: Are We Giving Robots Too Much Power?, (VIDEO) Robot Attack Insurance

Random thought:
If we have a robot to do research on Mars, what do we expect would happen to it if it found life?
Look at it from the other point of view–Martians sending a robot to earth to find life. What would the US government do if they found that robot traveling around on its own? My guess is it would be catastrophic… we would probably be put into some state of emergency just for some people from another planet just trying to do some research. But we wouldn’t know that’s all they wanted. We would probably think it’s some sort of terrorist because we’re the US and we’re idiots.
So let’s go back to us looking at Mars. Say they’re about where we are as far as technological advancements and realize it’s some robot from another planet. They also may not know whet it’s there to do, so their lives are disrupted for no good reason as well.
I think we’d be better off just ruining lives on our own planet… we’re already doing a good job of that.
So in that particular case, my answer is foe.

Well…an alien race wouldn’t need to look very hard to find us…
your fake analogy is stupid.

Will Smith did a documentary on robots in the future. And it showed that robots cannot be trusted. They will eventually kill us to protect us from ourselves.
