I’m a Neudist!

Now that neude has changed formats I’d like to introduce myself as a new poster.

It is I, Noah Langenwalter. Late of Neumont, now of Neumont North (Extend Health).

A lot of what I’ll find to write here will likely be off the beaten track. Why? I don’t code. I don’t design. I only write documentation when no one is looking. I’m a business analyst…sort of.

I live in a strange no man’s land, a demilitarized zone between the business people and the tech people. It’s an apt metaphor because sometimes it really does feel like my job is to run around defusing land mines. Sometimes that means I get to be my own domain expert. Sometimes that means I have to deal with some pretty menial tasks. The moments I like most are when I suddenly understand a problem with how the business is doing something and know just the way to fix it.

I didn’t expect to end up here after graduating. Even when I took the Business Analyst job offered to me, I didn’t really know what that meant and I couldn’t imagine that this would be where I would fit.

But that’s okay. I’m figuring it out.

I feel like you’ve switched sides during a war or something. Or maybe you’re just a spy to relay information back us, the developers?

It feels like he’s the radio boy in a WWII fight. Running from the radio station to each post telling the soldiers (developers) the orders.

Seems like an easy way out of doing the actual work to me. :D
